Welcome to the Moderator ClubSince 1979, the Moderator Club has helped hundreds of people develop public speaking and leadership skills by using the Toastmasters International Education Program.
The Moderator ClubThe Moderator Club is a Montreal-based bilingual (French, English) Toastmasters club. Established in 1979, the Club has approximately 40 members, from beginners to very experienced Toastmasters, so that all members receive excellent and varied feedback on their speeches. The Moderator Toastmasters Club belongs to District 61, which has approximately 3200 members in over 157 clubs. District 61 takes in all of Quebec, Ontario (as far as west Kingston and north to Chalk River), and clubs in Massena and Watertown, N.Y. Why join the Moderator Club
A meeting at the Moderator ClubOnce you arrive at our meeting room one of our officials will introduce you to the club members and answer your questions about the Toastmasters program. Consult the meeting agenda sheet to get a better understanding of the structure of the meeting. A typical Moderator club meeting consists of two main parts: The Business Session and the Educational Session.
Visit us!The Moderator Club meets every Tuesday, except holidays, at 6:30 PM at Maison Manuvie* (unless stated otherwise, verify below), 900 de Maisonneuve Blvd. West, 9th floor, Montreal, QC H3A 0A8. The meeting ends at 8:30 PM. Guests are always welcome and made to feel at home. We ask guests to arrive before 6:15 PM. Please note that you may not be able to access the meeting if you arrive after 6:30 PM. Members and guests pay a weekly meeting fee of $6.00 to cover the cost of sandwiches served during the break. Note that the meeting format may change for special events (Contests, debates etc.).

Membership FeesWhy limit yourself to an expensive 2-day communications workshop? For a small annual membership fee you can join a Toastmasters club and practice public speaking and leadership all year round. Please note that Toastmasters International is a non-profit organization: all dues collected from Toastmasters members are used exclusively to cover the operating expenses of the club and of Toastmasters International. Our membership fees are $156.00 a year, that’s only $13.00 a month. The membership fee includes a subscription to the monthly "Toastmaster" magazine as well as opportunities to participate in various leadership and communication conference workshops. There is a $30 fee charged to new members for registration and the New Members Kit, which includes the two basic Toastmaster manuals:
